Christmas parade crash suspect held to answer, scheduled to appear in court on Halloween

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The case against the suspect accused of hitting spectators during the 2023 Bakersfield Christmas Parade is moving forward.
Alan Booth was held to answer Monday on the charges against him, which include DUI with bodily injury, assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm, and resisting arrest.

Booth's blood alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit when he reversed out of an alleyway and hit a group of parade spectators on Dec. 7.
He was released on bail only to be re-arrested for DUI again in a separate incident four months later.
Booth is due back in court on Halloween.
