And with all his travels, he says that the Strand’s popcorn is the best he has ever had. We are looking forward to a big crowd that night. Don’t forget your spoons.” “The Room,” often referred to as “the best worst film ever made,” was written and directed by Tommy Wiseau, a close friend and frequent collaborator of Sestero. The pair's unique relationship and the production of “The Room” were featured heavily in Sestero's memoir “The Disaster Artist,” a New York Times bestseller turned into an award-winning film of the same name in 2017. The movie adaptation starred James Franco, Seth Rogen, Dave Franco, Sharon Stone, Bryan Cranston, and Alison Brie. Sestero's other efforts with Wiseau include the 2018 picture “Best F(r)iends,” which Sestero wrote about a road trip he took with Wiseau 15 years previously, and 2023's “Big Shark” the duo's third collaboration.
