All shapes and sizes of “undead” bodies roamed downtown Elgin Saturday night during the 13th annual Nightmare on Chicago Street, the zombie apocalypse in which bloody corpses delight in scaring the daylights out of those brave enough to enter the “Safe Zone.” This year’s street party was a sellout, with more than 18,000 guests, actors and volunteers filling the city center.
