WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The founder of New England Lemonade has died.  Mayor Frank Picozzi shared the news of Anthony Lombardi’s passing on Facebook yesterday. “He was a very successful businessman and a lifelong Warwick resident. He loved Warwick,” said Picozzi. “He was always ready to give the shirt off his back to anyone that needed help. He loved children and sponsored many youth sports teams,” he said. According to his obituary, Lombardi was the founder and owner for over 60 years. He worked alongside his sons and grandsons, right up until this past season. Lombardi was also the owner of the  Airport Autobody for 25 years, and had multiple Christmas Tree locations within the state for over 50 years. “He had an infectious smile and told great stories. I bought my Christmas trees from him every year,” said Picozzi.  “Around town Anthony was known as a standup guy and everyone liked him,” he said.   His services will be held on Wednesday, October 23.
