SOMERS, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities in southern Wisconsin say four people were taken to the hospital Friday afternoon after three semi trucks and four other vehicles became involved in a fiery crash. According to a release from the Somers Fire & Rescue, crews responded around 3:00 p.m. on October 18 to the 600 block of I-94 for reports of a crash involving a semi truck that may have also caught on fire. One person dead, one injured following crash between a motorcycle and minivan in Wisconsin Upon arrival, officials say three semi trucks and four other vehicles were involved in the crash with two of the semis and one of the other vehicles being on fire. Aid from 26 surrounding agencies and specialty units including the Kenosha Fire Department's P19 "ARFF (Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting) Truck" and water tenders from Kanasville and Salem Lakes was requested. As a result of the crash, fire crews were said to have found that fuel had leaked from the vehicles involved in the collision and ignited before finding its way to the storm drains and starting a large vegetation fire in the ditch on the side of I-94.
