FALLBROOK, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Firefighters were busy battling a brush fire behind a residential neighborhood in Fallbrook Monday afternoon, and an evacuation warning was in place for nearby homes for over an hour. Fire crews were battling a 4 acre brush fire -- dubbed the Circle Fire -- that broke out in the 5000 block of Lake Circle Road in Fallbrook around 2 p.m. Monday. Crews douse South Bay brush fire At 2:20 p.m. Monday, the San Diego County Sheriff's Office issued an evacuation warning for the area of Lake Circle Drive and Lake View Way in Fallbrook as the fire was burning directly behind homes. All evacuation warnings issued were lifted as of 3:40 p.m. A road closure was in place on Dulin Road and Lake Circle Drive. Firefighters will remain on scene into the evening hours to fully extinguish hotspots and mitigate any hazards.
