Two arrested following drug investigation in Tangipahoa, Livingston parishes

HAMMOND, La. (WGNO) — Two people were arrested after allegedly turning themselves in to deputies in connection with a drug investigation in Tangipahoa and Livingston parishes.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office reported that Drug Enforcement Administration agents notified the TPSO of the alleged distribution of "large volumes of high-grade marijuana" from a group of Hammond, Ponchatoula and Roseland residents in July.

On Tuesday, Oct. 15, TPSO officials said narcotics detectives, Hammond Police Department officers, Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office detectives, DEA and Homeland Security Investigators got warrants to search two homes and a business.
During a search of the homes on Estate Circle in Hammond and Prokop Road in Albany, detectives said they recovered pounds of marijuana and other drugs.

TPSO officials said detectives also searched a music studio in Hammond, where marijuana, transporting and packaging materials, scales and guns were allegedly found.
According to the TPSO, 33-year-old Alanza Sibley and 30-year-old Jessie Dennis turned themselves in to law enforcement on Tuesday.

Sibley is facing state RICO (Racketeering) charges, criminal conspiracy, possession with intent to distribute CDS, transactions involving drug offenses and letting a disorderly place.

TPSO officials said the investigation is ongoing.
