MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A triple shooting in Whitehaven has left one man dead and two other victims injured, Memphis Police confirm. At 6:26 p.m., officers responded to a shooting near a strip mall in the 3600 block of Millbranch Road. Suspect in medical student’s death being held without bond When officers arrived, they found a man who was pronounced deceased at the scene. A woman who spoke with WREG but did not want to be identified said she was driving down the street when she heard gunfire. "We just heard boom, boom, boom, boom! My sister-in-law was in the car and she thought it was someone with a flat tire," the woman said. "I said, 'No that's not a flat tire. That was shots coming from something high-powered." As she continued down Millbranch, she said she was there as officers started to arrive. She even saw loved ones grieving. "He was hollering, 'Get my brother off the ground! Get my brother off the ground!" Officers have detained one man on the scene but have not released his identity. Police say that this is an ongoing investigation.
