Coroner ID's woman killed in police crash in East Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Kern County Coroner's Office identified the woman killed in a crash involving the Bakersfield Police Department in East Bakersfield on Oct. 13.
Coroner's officials say Krystal Rubi Reynaga, 26, of Wasco was the passenger killed in the crash. Reynaga was taken to Kern Medical where she was pronounced dead.
The crash was reported at about 5:40 a.m. at Kern and Niles streets, according to the police department.
The driver of the vehicle was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner has not released his identity.
A 3-year-old boy, identified as Jeremiah Hernandez, was severely injured in the crash. According to the GoFundMe page, Jeremiah was stable at Children’s Hospital in Madera.
