A 36-year-old man died Friday after the motorcycle he was riding crashed head-on into a pickup on state Route 78 in Ramona, a California Highway Patrol official said.
The crash was reported when the Hardley Davidson, heading west on SR-78 near Old Julian Highway, crossed the road’s double yellow lines and hit an eastbound Ford F-250 around 5 p.m., Officer Jasmine Lopez said in a news release.
The rider, a Ramona resident, was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries, Lopez said. He died at the scene. His name was not released pending notification of his family.
The pickup’s driver was not injured and did not appear to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, Lopez said.
