ROCKVILLE, Md. (DC News Now) -- Victor V. Brito resigned as Rockville City Police Chief after six years in the role. Rockville City Manager, Jeff Mihelich, released a statement on Monday saying that Brito submitted his resignation on Oct. 18, adding that "on behalf of the community and the Mayor and Council, I would like to thank Chief Brito for his service to protecting and serving the City of Rockville." New dog park bar and restaurant opens in Logan Circle Brito's last day is Nov. 22. Mihelich said they would be looking for a new police chief "in the near future."
