Ramona man dies in motorcycle crash on State Route 78

RAMONA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- California Highway Patrol (CHP) is investigating a motorcycle crash that left one person dead Friday evening in Ramona.
Around 4:58 p.m., a 36-year-old Ramona man was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle west on State Route 78 when CHP says he crossed the double yellow lines near Old Julian Highway and collided with a Ford F-250 heading east.

The impact of the crash caused the man to be ejected from the motorcycle. CHP reports he was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not yet been identified by authorities.
The driver of the Ford F-250, described as a 52-year-old Ramona woman, was not injured.
Woman stabbed at downtown San Diego Trolley Station, police say
CHP is investigating the fatal accident and says DUI was not a factor for the driver of the truck. It is unknown at this time if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor for the victim.
The crash closed the highway for around three hours Friday night.
