(WWLP)-- Drivers in Chicopee should plan for delays and a detour, and seek alternate routes on Tuesday afternoon when road construction will take place on the I-391 southbound on-ramp from Chicopee Street. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) work crews will close the on-ramp from Chicopee Street to I-391 southbound on Tuesday, October 22, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for concrete placement. Hot weather makes it feel like return of summer for the next few days The I-391 southbound off-ramp to Chicopee Street will remain open during this time. Traffic will be detoured: Continue on Chicopee Street to Center Street. Turn onto Center Street and take the I-391 southbound on-ramp.
