Park City Council will meet Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall. Agenda highlights include the following items: Resolution to Declare November 2024 Native American History Month in Park City Councilmembers will consider a resolution “recognizing the importance of acknowledging and celebrating the rich cultural heritage and contributions of Indigenous Americans” by declaring November 2024 Native American History Month in Park City. Park City High School student Ella Ehrich, who worked with Mayor Worel to put the resolution forward, will read it. View the resolution here. Read more about Ella here. Soil Cover Ordinance Amendments Review The council will review and consider amendments to the Park City Code’s Soil Cover Ordinance. The proposed amendments are part of a concerted effort to renovate the City’s soil remediation regulations as State and Federal policies, technology, and research evolve.  Resident Parking Permit Discussion Councilors will review the City’s Residential Permit Parking Program and consider several recommendations to better manage the allowing of on-street parking in residential permit zones.  Kimball Art Festival and Park Silly Sunday Market Debriefs Representatives from both festivals will give their annual debriefs to the council. The arts festival item will include discussion, a public hearing, and possible action to adjust the City Services Agreement based on the impact of dining decks on the festival.
