(WRIC) -- The Hopewell Police Department is investigating after a missing man was reportedly found dead. According to the department, 25-year-old Andre Malik Cox left his residence at around 4 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, and has not been seen since. Police said he had suffered from depression in the past and he was last seen in the Hopewell Marina area. Foul play was not suspected at the time of his being reported missing. On Monday, Oct. 21, police reported that Cox had been found dead in the City of Hopewell and his family had been notified. "The Medical Examiner's Office will determine the manner and cause of death," a release shared by police on Monday reads. "Thanks to all who have assisted in the search." Members of the Hopewell Police Department Criminal Investigation Unit have started an investigation into the incident, and anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Martin at 804-541-2284.
