MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man accused of murder was captured by U.S. Marshals on Monday after fleeing to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jaylon Remus, 25, was wanted for first degree murder, aggravated assault, especially aggravated robbery and reckless endangerment in Shelby County. Jaylon Remus. (Hennepin County Jail) On September 4, a warrant was issued for his arrest. That same day, the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force (TRVFTF) adopted the case. Throughout their investigation, they learned that Remus had fled to the Minneapolis area and requested the U.S. Marshals Service in Minneapolis to assist in finding him. Shelby County deputy critically injured in crash identified On Monday, deputy marshals from the Northstar Fugitive Task Force tracked Remus to a family member's house in the city of Medina, outside of Minneapolis. Remus surrendered to deputies at the front door of the residence and is pending extradition back to Tennessee.
