KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Current are set to host their first ever NWSL playoff match at CPKC Stadium. The team announced the time and date for their quarterfinal matchup on Monday. If the playoffs started today, they would face the North Carolina, who currently hold the fifth seed at 15-3-7. The Current have two more matches before they begin the postseason. They face Gotham FC on Friday, Oct. 25 in NWSL x LIGA MX Femenil Summer Cup Final at 7 p.m. KC Current midfielder Desiree Scott to retire from professional soccer after 2024 season Following that, they'll face the Chicago Red Stars on the road in their regular season finale on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. The Current could also have an opportunity to host the 2024 NWSL Championship.
