One institution in Hawaii's European inspired Christmas and United States inspired holiday events is Kahala Mall. With an exciting calendar of holiday events, there promises to be fun for everyone. Here’s a detailed look at what’s happening in November and December. November events Holiday Mom Made Market When: Nov. 2 and 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.What: The Holiday Mom Made Market is a great place to start your holiday shopping. This event features unique items created by over 40 entrepreneurial moms. You can find special accessories, apparel, and gifts while supporting women in business. Many vendors, such as Kaleimamo Hawaii and Jana Lam, will donate a portion of their sales to the Make Lemonade Project, which helps local cancer patients. Supporting mom-owned businesses means you are investing in the creativity and passion of these women, making your shopping more meaningful. Aloha Holiday and Santa photo opportunities When: Starting Nov. 20What: Kahala Mall has set up a brand-new Santa area this year. The Santa set features a modern pergola, swing sofa and lanterns, making it a perfect spot for family photos. Families are encouraged to capture special moments with Santa against this beautiful backdrop. The iconic Poinsettia Tree will also be on display in Center Court which provides another stunning place for holiday pictures. Black Friday event: 6X HawaiianMiles + doorbusters When: Nov. 29, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.What: On Black Friday, shoppers can earn 6X HawaiianMiles! If you spend at least $100 (before tax and tips) at any store, restaurant, or theatre in the mall, you will receive six HawaiianMiles for every dollar spent, up to 2,400 miles. Plus, enjoy doorbuster deals of up to 75% off. This is a great chance to start your holiday shopping early and score amazing discounts. Be sure to bring your receipts to redeem your miles at the Center Court tables by 2:30 p.m. Holiday concert series When: Nov. 29 to Dec. 22What: Enjoy the sounds of the season with performances from over 50 schools, choirs, and dance groups. This event will fill the mall with joyful holiday music and cheer, perfect for getting everyone into the festive spirit. These performances will take place at Center Stage, creating a warm and festive atmosphere throughout the mall. December events Laulima Gift Giving with KHON2 When: Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.What: This event supports local keiki and ʻohana in need. The non-profit Keiki O Ka Aina will collect toys and donations at Center Court. Families are encouraged to bring gifts to help those struggling due to medical emergencies, loss of a parent, or other hardships. There will also be music and dance performances, adding to the festive atmosphere and bringing the community together. KHON2 will be collecting for our annual community event that has inspired thousands to become a greater part of our community by giving to those who need a bit of help celebrating. Exclusive 25% off holiday savings pass When: Dec. 6 to 8, during mall hoursWhat: Shoppers can enjoy a special savings pass that gives 25% off one regular-priced item at more than 20 participating stores. This is the last Kahala Mall savings pass of 2024! The savings pass can be printed from the Kahala Mall website, making it easy for shoppers to take advantage of these great deals as they prepare for the holiday season. The Annual Very Merry event When: Dec. 13 to 15What: This holiday shopping event offers exclusive discounts to ticket holders. Tickets are just $5, and each holder will gain access to special deals from over 50 stores and restaurants. You’ll also have a chance to win one of five $100 Kahala Mall gift cards and a grand prize staycation at The Kahala Hotel & Resort. Shop with a Cop When: Dec. 1What: Sixteen students from local elementary schools will get to shop with Honolulu police officers to pick out gifts for their families and a gift for a child or senior in need. Kahala Mall merchants generously donate gift cards for this annual event, allowing students to select special gifts while learning about kindness and generosity. Photos with Santa When: Nov. 29 to Dec. 24What: Take a photo with Santa at his whimsical storybook-themed holiday set near Macy’s. Salvation Army Angel Giving Tree When: Nov. 18 to Dec. 16What: Pick a wish from the Salvation Army Angel Giving Tree and help a child or senior in need.
