High temps hit 80° in Fort Wayne and many surrounding spots this afternoon. The record high for today is 84°, so we were not too far from that mark. Now, the evening remains warmer than is typical for late October as temps slide out of the 80s and through the 70s and enter the 60s. After a warm evening, a chill sets in overnight. Temps will drop as low as the mid-40s right before dawn. After sunset, the cooldown accelerates and we'll fall to the mid-40s by early morning. We'll have a slight increase in clouds tonight, becoming partly cloudy by morning. Still, though, we'll have some sunshine during the day tomorrow and high temps rising to the upper 70s in the afternoon. Another warm October afternoon comes our way tomorrow. A system limps its way in from the Great Plains and may bring a scattered shower or two for our Tuesday evening, but any showers will be widely scattered. We'll have some breezy moments with SW gusts up to 25 mph. Winds pick up on Tuesday and they'll be gusty, at times. On Wednesday, a cold front moves through, bringing rain to Michigan, but leaving our area dry. However, you'll notice conditions, again, becoming breezy. This time, our winds will be from the NW, gusting up to 25 mph. Wednesday's highs will still be able to hit 70° and go slightly above in some spots. Like Tuesday, Wednesday will have gusty moments, too. On Wednesday, though, winds will be coming from the northwest. Colder fall air rushes in behind the front and high temps will be back at seasonal levels on Thursday, in the low 60s. Friday brings another slight rain chance with another frontal system moving through, which will feed in cooler air for the weekend, when we'll be in the low-to-mid-60s for highs.
