INDIANAPOLIS — The start time of the Colts' matchup with the Vikings has been moved from 1 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. on Nov. 3. The change will vault the game from regional distribution to national television. The contest will mark the first time the Colts have appeared on NBC's Sunday Night Football since Dec. 4, 2022. The last time Indianapolis played on Sunday Night Football, it lost 54-19 to the Dallas Cowboys. The Nov. 3 matchup with the Vikings will also be the Colts' first nationally televised regular season game of the season. The last time Indianapolis played a nationally televised game, it lost 23-19 to the Houston Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium. The loss kept the Colts out of the playoffs last year, and pushed the Texans into the postseason. The Colts and Vikings haven't played each other in a nationally televised game since Dec. 17, 2022. Indianapolis lost that contest, lost 39-36. In that game, the Colts raced out to a 33-point lead in the first half, only to relinquish five touchdowns in the second half. Then-Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins finished the game 34-of-54 for 460, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Indianapolis, which was led by QB Matt Ryan, only managed to score a field goal in the second half. Ryan went 19-of-33 for 182 yards and a touchdown on the contest. The Colts' Nov. 3 matchup with the Vikings was flexed to Sunday Night Football in place of the Jacksonville Jaguars' game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Jacksonville is 2-5 this season and Philadelphia is 4-2. If their current schedule is not changed, the Colts will play on Sunday Night Football twice in three weeks. Indianapolis is currently slated to play the 2-5 New York Jets on Nov. 17. The Colts are currently 4-3 on the season and one game back of the Texans in the AFC South Division standings. Indianapolis and Houston will meet at NRG Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m. The game will air on CBS4.
