Woman arrested for DUI after seriously injuring pedestrian

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A woman was arrested on DUI charges after a crash on Sunday, Oct. 20 left a pedestrian with serious injuries.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), police responded to a crash involving a pedestrian around 10:15 p.m. on Sunday on Cimarron Street just east of the Highway 24 frontage road.
CSPD said the pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, and eastbound Cimarron Street was closed for about an hour while police investigated.
The driver of the car, Gwyn Gustafson, remained on scene and was arrested for DUI-related vehicular assault.
