MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – Law enforcement responded Monday to a crash that involved a school bus near the Darrell Creek subdivision. The accident happened at the intersection of Darrell Creek Trail and Highway 17 North around 2:24 p.m. when a car rear-ended the bus. Police say students were on board at the time. "Three have reported injuries-unknown the extent or if they will be transported at this time," said Sgt. Ashley Croy with the Mount Pleasant Police Department. One of the injuries appeared to be an adult with a laceration; however, police did not say whether that adult was the driver of the car or bus. The Charleston County School District later said 34 students from Carolina Park Elementary School were on board. None were taken to the hospital.
