BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Police in California City said a reported threat aimed at an elementary school was part of an overseas hoax. Supervisor Leticia Perez under investigation for alleged use of county resources for political purposes The California City Police Department said it learned of a possible threat to Hacienda Elementary School at Hacienda and Redwood boulevards. The school was placed on lockdown as police arrived and searched the campus. The department said the threat was determined to be "non-existent" and a hoax from an overseas internet address.
