COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- The victim of a deadly shooting in Columbus' Victorian Village neighborhood was a popular rapper from Florida with millions of followers. Columbus police said after getting a 911 call from a woman who reported a shooting, officers went around 5 a.m. Saturday to the 300 block of West 3rd Avenue. They found 22-year-old Michael Andre Robinson, also known as rapper Ralan Styles, suffering from a gunshot wound in the area. Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene by 5:10 a.m. Styles was born in Tallahassee, Florida and has millions of plays on his songs dating back to 2020, according to his Spotify page. His most played song was a remix of the popular children's song "Baby Shark," which has garnered more than 32 million plays on Spotify and over 1 million views on YouTube as of Monday. His brother, rapper Lil Goat, has posted tributes to Robinson on his Instagram account since Saturday. The suspect in Robinson's death, 24-year-old Mahamood Hassan, was arrested several blocks away from the scene and charged with murder on Saturday. Hassan was arraigned in Franklin County Municipal Court on Monday and received a $2 million bond. He is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on Oct. 29.
