Man shot, killed in Southeast DC, detectives searching for suspect

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- D.C. police said a man died after he was found shot in Southeast on Monday morning.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) told DC News Now that a call came in around 9:45 a.m. for a shooting at the intersection of 16th Street and Kentucky Avenue.

There, officers found a man who had been shot. He died there.
As of Monday morning, police had not yet released his name.
As the investigation continues, police said officers are searching for a man who was allegedly armed with a handgun and last seen in a black Mercedes.
