WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- National Teen Driver Safety Week, running from October 20 to 26, 2024, aims to raise awareness of the leading cause of death for teens in the U.S.
On average, seven teens die daily in traffic accidents, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

In 2021, over 2,600 people were killed in crashes involving a teen driver, with teen fatalities rising by as much as 20% in some states last year.
