ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Businessman and philanthropist Tom Golisano will soon be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The Greater Rochester Chamber will present Golisano with the award during the Top 100 Awards Celebration. The chamber says this is due to his commitment to business, supporting non-profit organizations, and advocating for inclusive health and several issues. Seneca Waterways Council CEO leaves for Scouting America Golisano made headlines last month when he donated $360 million to 82 organizations across Upstate New York. This included children's hospitals, colleges and universities, groups that help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and animal shelters. The Top 100 Awards Celebration is designed to acknowledge and celebrate the fastest-growing privately owned companies in the Finger Lakes region. Golisano will be presented with the award at the ceremony on November 6 at the Floreano Convention Center.
