Felon hid gun, ammunition in bush: Richmond police

(KRON) – Officers found a bag with a gun and ammunition that was hidden in a bush, according to the Richmond Police Department.
At 10:19 a.m. on Thursday, a ShotSpotter informed Richmond PD of a shooting near an encampment near Robert Miller Drive and San Pablo Avenue.
Responding officers noticed three men leaving a tent. Richmond PD said two of the men complied with officers. The other man was carrying a bag and walked into a thick bush. When he returned, police said he did not have the bag but then spoke to officers.

Man arrested for having child pornography: Petaluma police
Officers searched the bush and found a bag with a loaded firearm, additional rounds of ammunition and narcotics.
Police later learned the man was a convicted felon prohibited from possessing a firearm, which is illegal.
