SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- An injured barn owl located at Baker Beach in San Francisco on Sunday was rescued by firefighters and animal control, according to the San Francisco Fire Department. In a video posted by the fire department to social media, the owl is seen being evaluated by San Francisco Animal Care and Control (SFACC) personnel before being transferred to a box for transport. According to SFFD, the owl “will be OK,” and “receive appropriate care and rehabilitation.” The oldest known barn owl lived to at least 15 years old, according to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
