Ludlow officers recognized for helping save a life on Lyon Street

LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) - Three Ludlow Police Officers are being recognized for helping save a life after a driver crashed on Lyon Street.
Dozens of vehicles damaged by pumpkins in Northampton
According to the Ludlow Police Department, on August 16th, Officers Da Costa, Saraiva, and Krok were called to a serious motor vehicle crash on Lyon Street. Upon arrival, the driver was found unconscious and not breathing.
As the vehicle was still in drive, Officer Krok put his cruiser in front of the vehicle to prevent further danger. The officers were then able to remove the driver and perform life-saving measures including administering CPR, rescue breaths, chest compressions, and applying an AED. The person was revived by the officers and taken to the hospital.
"Their professionalism, courage, and dedication reflect the highest standards of service and bring great credit to the Ludlow Police Department and the Town of Ludlow. We are proud to honor these officers for their life-saving actions and unwavering commitment to the community," the Ludlow Police Department.
