HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 20-year-old man has died following a crash on Darbytown Road in Henrico County Saturday morning. According to police, the victim has been identified as 20-year-old Orion Mehki Stewart of Henrico County. At 11:47 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, officers with the Henrico County Police Division and responders with the Henrico County Division of Fire responded to the 4500 block of Darbytown Road for a reported vehicle that had crashed into a tree. When officers arrived, they found a vehicle that had crashed into a tree and caught on fire. Stewart, who police identified as the driver, was removed from the vehicle, taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, and later died due to his injuries. Police said the preliminary investigation indicates that Stewart veered off the road in the 5200 block of Darbytown Road, hitting a tree. The impact caused a vehicle fire, which engulfed the vehicle when emergency responders arrived on the scene. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Officer S.
