CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Legendary poet and author, Nikki Giovani, will headline as Artist-In-Residence at Virginia State University's (VSU) second Triennial James Arthur Baldwin International Symposium. VSU's 2nd Triennial James Arthur Baldwin Symposium will take place Oct. 24-26 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The first two days will be hosted at the Petersburg Public Library and the third day will be at the university's Gateway Event Center. (Courtesy of Virginia State University) “This event not only celebrates the profound legacy of one of the most influential literary and cultural figures of the 20th century but also provides an invaluable space for thought-provoking discourse, reflection, and collaboration among scholars, students, and the community at large,” said Dr. Tia A. Minnis, VSU Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. According to the university, the event will feature many other outstanding scholars and authors from around the world.
