NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — North Kingstown High School did not have class today while family, friends, players, and fellow teachers honored the late Joe Gilmartin. 59-year-old Gilmartin, a former high school football coach and history teacher, passed away last week after a boating incident in Narragansett. Friday, the high school football team played their first game after his passing, while honoring Gilmartin and doing so in victory. His funeral service was held this morning. Categories: News
