Two men accused of gift card scam plead not guilty in South Kingstown

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — Two men accused in a gift card scam pleaded not guilty in South Kingstown today.
Quanbin Huang, 45, and Zhixiong Lu, 46, were charged with forgery and counterfeiting, conspiracy and obtaining property by false pretenses.
After issuing a search warrant on their vehicle and three boxes, South Kingstown police seized 1,848 suspected tampered gift cards, as well as 935 gift cards from CVS.
Both men from New York are Chinese nationals, also facing immigration charges.
They were given $5,000 surety, with the promise to return for court back in November.
