MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man was arrested and charged with murder after a woman's body was discovered behind a southeast Shelby County home on Sunday. Tevon Rose, 24, is charged with First Degree Murder, Abuse of a Corpse, Tampering with Evidence, and Resisting Official Detention. His bond has not been set. Tevon Rose (SCSO) Rose was taken into custody after a woman's body was found in a wooded area in the 7000 block of Peppermill Lane. Woman’s body found in wooded area; neighbors claim son responsible for her death A neighbor who spoke with WREG said that the woman was killed by her son and her body was burned and thrown in the wooded area behind the home. Law enforcement has not confirmed this information.
