MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A single-car crash in Coahoma County left one person dead on Sunday, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol. Around 1:40 a.m., 43-year-old Anthony M. Carson of Sumner County was driving north on US Highway 49 when his 2008 Chevrolet Malibu left the road and crashed into a pole. Carson was pronounced dead on the scene as a result of his injuries. This is an ongoing investigation by the THP.
