LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – An early morning crash in Lexington has left one man hospitalized. Lexington Police responded to a call at about 6:30 a.m. regarding a vehicle accident on Todds Road, near Combs Ferry Road.
When they got there, officers discovered a car on its side with a man trapped inside. He was removed and taken to the hospital. Authorities have confirmed that his injuries are not life-threatening.
Further investigation revealed that the man was allegedly driving under the influence at the time of the accident. He has since been charged with DUI. Todds Road was temporarily closed for cleanup but has now been reopened to traffic.
