MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) - With the NBA regular season about to start, the Milwaukee Bucks are hoping to recapture the magic from their title run in 2021. Doing that, at least to start the year, will prove to be difficult as they will reportedly be without their 3-time All-Star starting guard Khris Middleton. JD Vance hangs with tailgaters at Lambeau ahead of Packers game According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Middleton is expected to miss Wednesday's season opener versus the Philadelphia 76ers as he rehabs from offseason ankle surgeries. Shams adds that the Bucks are being cautious as they progress Middleton towards a return to the court. There is no known timeline of when Middleton will be expected to play. Middleton has had his share of injuries since the Bucks NBA Championship run in 2021 and last year missed 27 total games including a stretch of 16 consecutive games due to injury. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard will look to shoulder the load of Milwaukee's offense as they wait for Middleton's return.
