FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) An inmate at the Allen County Jail died Monday morning after suffering what appeared to be cardiac arrest according to a spokesperson for the Allen County Sheriff's Department. Details are limited, however it is known that medics were called to the jail located in downtown Fort Wayne at around 8 a.m. Efforts to save the inmate were unsuccessful. The name of the inmate has not yet been released and an investigation is underway.
