SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO)– A Sumter man has been arrested on 9 charges connected to the sexual exploitation of minors, says the AG’s Office. Michael Roland Sheehan was arrested by Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators say they received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) which led them to Sheehan. Also, investigators say Sheehan distributed files of child sexual abuse material. He was arrested on Oct. 17, and charged with 9 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree which is a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count. Sheehan was taken to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and was held on a $45,000 surety bond. Categories: Local News, Sumter Tags: SC Attorney General’s Office
