   (WLOS) — The Biltmore Estate announces reopening plans in time for the holiday season, just over three weeks after suffering damage from Hurricane Helene. In an Oct. 19 Facebook post, the Biltmore said that the estate plans to reopen on Nov. 2, welcoming back guests to celebrate the holiday season withChristmas at Biltmore. In acknowledgment of the region’s recent devastation, the post said that the home has been a “witness to the resilience of this community” for more than 125 years, with the hurricane as no exception. “The compassion and resolve of our region have been rising every day from beneath the weight of this storm,” the Biltmore wrote. “Thanks to the incredible work of so many generous people, recovery is happening all around us.” In an Oct. 4 release, the Biltmore Estate shared details on the damages the property suffered during Helene. The release said though the estate saw several areas of damage, the forested areas of the 8,000-acre property suffered the most extensive damage, as “wind damage was extensive to grounds and some structures.” The Biltmore said that welcoming guests back to the estate provides critical support to the community, and with the property now preparing to open its doors,those interested in visiting can find more information via their website.
