HANAHAN, S.C. (WCBD) – A home in Hanahan was damaged during a Sunday night fire. The Hanahan Fire Department received a call around 8:14 p.m. regarding a structure fire on Valley Street. Crews within minutes to find a heavily involved fire at the single-family home. The brick home was located at the end of the street. Assistant Fire Chief Christopher Zak said crews searched the residence for anyone inside and quickly began attacking the flames. Fire crews contained the fire in minutes but remained on the scene until after midnight. No injuries were reported. Chief Zak said the cause of Sunday night’s fire is under investigation. The North Charleston Fire Department and Goose Creek Rural Fire Department assisted with the call.
