Pedestrian hit and killed by USPS vehicle in East Aurora

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A 79-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a United States Postal Service delivery vehicle while crossing Main Street in East Aurora on Sunday, according to police.
The woman was taken to ECMC by Mercy Flight and died at the hospital, East Aurora police said. She was identified as Mary E. Kerwin of East Aurora.
Police said Kerwin was crossing Main Street at Olean Road at 10:02 a.m. Sunday when the USPS vehicle turned right from Olean Street and struck her.
No charges have yet been announced against the driver, who cooperated with police at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
