BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Are you heading to College Station, Texas, for the LSU football game? Check out these places to eat and spend time with your family if this is your first trip to the Lone Star State. The Tigers will play against the Texas A&M University Aggies on Saturday, Oct. 26. Kickoff is set between 2:30 and 7 p.m. The matchup against the Aggies will be the Tigers' fourth Southeastern Conference game of the season. The Republic Steakhouse offers Texas-style steaks and seafood, house-brewed beers and whiskeys. Napa Flats Wood-Fired Kitchen serves a selection of pastas, pizzas, soups, salads, sandwiches and flats. Some of their main menu items include grilled salmon, Costa Rican white fish, chicken Sonoma and Coronado tacos. Fish Daddy's Grill House (1611 University Drive E.) Fish Daddy's Grill House "serves a variety of fish and shellfish, plus beer, wine and cocktails," according to their website. The restaurant's house specialties include fish and chips, Cajun penne pasta, blackened shrimp scampi and crawfish or shrimp creole. Stella Southern Cafe (4040 Highway 6, Ste. 100) Stella Southern Cafe "brings scratch-made Southern breakfast food to the heart of College Station," according to their Facebook page. The restaurant provides a ton of options to choose from for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Casa Mangiare (840 University Drive East) Casa Mangiare in College Station has a dinner and a lunch menu and a Sunday brunch. Some of their featured menu items include Scottish salmon, Texas pasture-raised roasted chicken, braised beef short rib and New Zealand lamb rack. Things to do in College Station with family George Bush Presidential Library and Museum (1000 George Bush Drive West) According to their website, the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum "features a retired Marine One helicopter, the Union Pacific 4141 Locomotive, and a cafe, Daisy's Table." (19124 Highway 6) The Museum of the American G.I. in College Station features several military vehicles, including a WWI FT-17 tank, WWII Sherman tanks and M18 Hellcats.
