Jury reaches additional verdict in Kason Guyton murder trial

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Another verdict has been reached in the trial of Jonathan Knight, charged with murder in the death of 5-year-old Kason Guyton, court officials said.
Kern County Superior Court officials were alerted the jury reached a verdict on Monday morning.
On Friday, the jury reached a partial verdict against Jonathan Knight and were sent back to deliberate further.
The jury did find Knight guilty of several charges related to a shooting on Remington Avenue in 2019. No one was wounded in that shooting. Knight was found guilty of shooting an inhabited dwelling or vehicle, assault with a gun and possession of a gun by a felon.
The jury was sent back Friday to further deliberate counts of murder, attempted murder, assault with a semi-automatic firearm on a person, shooting at inhabited dwelling or vehicle, and gang participation against Knight.
