One Pronounced Dead after Big-Rig vs Pickup-Truck Collision near Highway 74 MENIFEE, CA (October 21, 2024) – One driver died Wednesday night, in a rear-end semi-truck collision on Menifee Road and Highway 74. The incident occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m. Menifee PD spokesman Chase Coburn reported that an eastbound pickup truck collided with the rear of a semi-truck, though the exact circumstances leading to the crash are still under investigation. Paramedics from the Riverside County Fire Department transported the pickup driver to a regional trauma center, but despite their efforts, the victim was pronounced dead. The semi-truck driver was uninjured in the accident, and investigators have ruled out drugs or alcohol as factors in the crash.
