VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Two men were arrested Saturday evening after a K9 discovered narcotics with them, the Visalia Police Department announced.
Police say around 11 a.m., their Special Enforcement Unit conducted a traffic stop at Ben Maddox Way and St. John’s Parkway.
Officers conducted a vehicle search with assistance from their K9 partner, Maui, who they say alerted officers of the presence of narcotics inside.
As a result of their search, investigators say 48-year-old Eduardo Flores and 32-year-old Christopher Barajas were found with narcotics and a loaded P80 Ghost Gun with a full auto switch.
Detectives report both men were arrested and booked on suspicion of narcotics and firearm-related charges.
