TIVERTON, R.I. (WPRI) -- A single-car crash that happened in Tiverton Sunday evening is under investigation.
Police said a 79-year-old man crashed into a utility pole around 6:04 p.m. at the intersection of Main Road and Indian Point Road.
According to police, he was driving southbound on Main Road and left the road for reasons "unknown at this time."
The man got out of the vehicle on his own, police said, and was taken to Rhode Island Hospital. The severity of his injuries are unknown.
