WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ind. — An Indianapolis woman was killed in a crash in Washington County on Saturday. According to a press release from Indiana State Police, 67-year-old Theresa Marie Spencer was one of two people riding a motorcycle that was involved in a crash with a white 2002 Toyota Corolla on U.S. Highway 150. The Washington County Sheriff's Office was the first agency to arrive at the scene of the crash. Deputies requested assistance from state police around 7 p.m. Saturday. After an investigation, troopers determined a red and black 2025 Honda trike was travelling eastbound on U.S. Highway 150 between Becks Mill Road and High Street in Fredericksburg before the crash happened. The driver of the trike crashed when the Toyota's driver pulled out in front of the bike on U.S. Highway 150. ISP reported that the driver of the Toyota pulled out of private driveway located on the south side of the highway. The impact threw Spencer and the trike's other occupant from the bike. Spencer was killed during the impact, and the trike's other occupant was transported from the scene to University of Louisville Hospital with injuries ISP characterized as being "severe but non-life-threatening." The Toyota's driver sustained minor injuries during the crash and was transported to Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Salem. As of 7:46 p.m. Sunday, ISP did not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. As of this article's publication, no additional information on the incident had been made available.
