NORTH DAKOTA (KXNET) — Many volunteers took time out of their day to help prepare for a special ceremony.
Every year, wreath-laying ceremonies happen in December at thousands of locations in all 50 states and beyond, including North Dakota -- but first, some prep work needs to be done.
Local volunteers from the Civil Air Patrol, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and others were out Saturday, putting up wreath-hanging crosses before the first big deep frost of the year.
Wreaths are scheduled to be placed on those crosses, following a remembrance ceremony on December 14 at Rosehill Memorial Park in Minot.
